Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in 2010. At the time, I was a design student. Our first assignment was a typographic response to the devastation on haiti. My response to the events was the following, using a black letter typeface to signify stability, I ripped and tore until the letters themselves lost meaning and reconstructed it back. It was meant to show that in the chaos hope still exist and slowly Haiti would rebuild.
